How to answer listening section on the the TOEFL CBT/PBT/ITP Test -  Pada postingan kali ini kita akan membahas strategi kedua untuk menjawab soal Listening yang terdapat pada TOEFL CBT/PBT/ITP. Sebelum anda membaca artikel ini alangkah baiknya untuk membaca How to answer Listening Section on the tOEFL part 1. Postingan ini juga merupakan lanjutan dari postingan sebelumnya yaitu cara menjawab soal Listening SHORT DIALOGUE pada TOEFL CBT/PBT/ITP. 

Oke kita mulai saja

STRATEGI 2 to answer listening section on the toefl test  : PILIH JAWABAN YANG SESUAI DENGAN SINONIM ( PERSAMAAN KATA ) YANG DI UCAPKAN PADA AUDIO.

Contoh :

On the recording,you hear :

(Woman )  : Why is Barbara feeling so happy?
(Man)        : She just started working in a real estate agency .
(Narrator ) : What does the man say about Barbara?

in your test book or on the computer screen , you read :
(A) She always liked her work in real estate.
(B) She began a new job.
(C) She just bought some real estate.
(D) She bought a real estate agency.

Pada percakapan diatas dikatakan bahwa barbara started working yang berarti bahwa Barbara baru saja bekerja pada agen real estate. Makna yang sama terdapat pada pilihan B yang bermakna Started = Began yaitu memiliki arti yang sama yaitu memulai. So the best answer is (B).

STRATEGI 2 : Pilih jawaban yang sesuai dengan sinonim (persamaan kata).

1. Dengarkan percakapan hingga percakapan terakhir dan dengarkan kata kunci pada percakapan terakhir.
2. Kemudian cari persamaan kata(Sinonim ) dari kata kunci tersebut pada pilihan jawaban .

   (C) He thought the exam would be easier.
   (D) The exam was not very difficult.

2 (A) He's not feeling very well

   (C) He's feeling better today than yesterday.
   (D) He'd  really rather not answer the question.

3 (A) The company was founded about a years ago.
   (B) It was just established that he could go into business.
   (C) The family is well-established.
   (D) The business only lasted a year .

4(A) He didn't look at the right schedule.
  (B) The plane landed in the right place.
  (C) The plane arrived on time.
  (D) He had to wait for the plane to land.
